Assoc. Prof. Özkan Karabacak Joined KHAS Mechatronics Engineering Department

Assoc. Prof. Özkan Karabacak has completed his BSc and MSc degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering at İstanbul Technical University and PhD degree in Mathematics at Exeter University. He worked as an assistant professor at Istanbul Technical University between 2012 and 2016. He participated in various research projects on dynamical systems and control at Exeter University and Aalborg University, where he researched between 2016 and 2020. In addition, he has lectured courses and supervised students in robotics and control engineering at Aalborg University, where problem-based learning is the primary method of education.
In 2020, he was appointed as the head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at İzmir Bakırçay University. In addition, he has taken part in various research projects on neuroscience, nonlinear control, quantum decision making. TÜBİTAK has recently awarded him for his project on nonlinear control under the National Leader Researchers Program.
